The nearest small town to us, Srebreno offers a little of everything.
As you drive from the airport, you will pass the new shopping mall, which has a pharmacy, clothes stores, cash machines, café and snack bars and a large Konsum supermarket.
The supermarket sells most things and is very much like shopping at home with a good range of gluten-free, fresh and convenience products. Parking is free for the first 2 hours, with a small charge payable afterwards. Opposite the mall is a lovely little bakery kiosk which is great to grab a few pastries before heading to and from the beach for the day. We recommend Burek, a local filo pastry filled with either meat or cheese and spinach.
The Sheraton Hotel down on the beachfront offers good spa days at reasonable rates, great for cooler months and for those wanting time away from the crowds. Enjoy lunch or dinner on their beachside terrace.
Opposite the Sheraton is restaurant Rusmarin, run by two guys that worked on cruise ships, so customer service and attention to detail is second to none. Booking in summer months is recommended.
On the coastal promenade from Srebreno to Mlini you will find locals selling ‘Palacinka’ (pancakes), ice-creams, beach toys, ferry trips and day excursions.
A children’s wooden adventure playground is set underneath huge pine trees, giving them plenty of shade whilst they play. Adjacent is a cafe/snack bar for you to safely watch the children from. For those children that can’t stay out of the water there is also a huge inflatable playground found just off the beach, along with water skiing, jetskis, canoes and pedalos.
The ferries run from Srebreno to Mlini, Cavtat and the old port in Dubrovnik.
Excursions to the ‘Three Elaphite islands’, plus so many more including day boats to hire can be found along the stunning coastal walk from Srebreno to Mlini.
Most of the beautiful beaches along this coast line are a rugged mix of pebble and sand with crystal clear waters. Plenty to do for everyone!
