The nearest small town to us, Srebreno offers a little of everything.
As you arrive, you will pass the new Shopping Mall with a pharmacy, clothes stores, cash machines, café and snack bars and a large Konsum Supermarket. In the supermarket you can buy almost everything and is very much like shopping at home with a good range of gluten free, fresh and convenience products. Parking here is free for the first 2 hours with a small charge payable afterwards.
Opposite is a lovely little bakery kiosk, great to grab a few pastries, before heading to the beach for the day. ‘Burek’ is a local filo pastry filled with either meat or cheese and spinach.
The Sheraton Hotel here offers good spa days out, at reasonable rates, great for cooler months and for those wanting to time away from the crowds. You can book lunch or dinner on the beachside terrace.
Opposite is Restaurant Ruzmarin, run by 2 guys that worked on cruise ships and so customer service and attention to detail is second to none. Booking in summer is recommended.
On the coastal promenade to Mlini you will find locals selling ‘Palacinca’ (pancakes to us), ice creams, beach toys, ferry trips and day excursions. The ferries run to Mlini, Cavtat and the old port in Dubrovnik, a stress free way to arrive for your visit. Excursions to the ‘3 islands’ and Lopud plus day boats to hire can be found along this coastal walk.
Most of the beautiful beaches along this coastline are a rugged mix of pebble and sand with crystal waters , welcome shade being found under the pine trees.
Plenty to do for everyone!
