The villa is absolutely stunning from the inside and out, meeting all expectations from what I’ve seen on the website and heard before arriving. It’s lovely and clean before arriving and functions just like home but with the relaxing hot tub and refreshing sea view pool. Everything there you need and some games for fun with family in the lounging area. The city and beaches are all lovely and there are some delicious restaurants to eat at. The views are just picturesque, breathtaking sunsets and tonnes of shining stars, brilliant location. 100% want to go again. Thank you Jeanne and Sean x

This villa had everything needed ! Very modern, great views and spacious. There were 3 families that stayed here and didn’t need to leave. There is the boarder issue however, as the location you can clearly see the boarder control you can time yourselves nicely to avoid queues. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

I would 100% recommend this villa to all! We had most amazing stay. The villa and it’s views were stunning, local towns and restaurants were beautifully authentic, and the food very well priced. The owners we’re very responsive and easy to deal with, and I hope to visit again!

I had an amazing weeks stay here at this luxurious and spacious villa. The view is beautiful; perfect for lounging by the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. With such close proximity to Dubrovnik and local towns in Bosnia we were able to explore easily. The facilities were in perfect- no faults and very clean! Would definitely recommend and hope to return! Thank you Sean and Jeanne.

Great villa, large spacious and with what must be some of the best views in the Adriatic. Dubrovnik is very close by and there is a wide selection of beaches and places to visit. Bosnia makes a nice change from the coast, food is cheap, locals are friendly and the new water park in Trebinje kept the kids entertained. You must have dinner in studenac if you stay here.Stuart L

What a wonderful & beautiful Villa Cruz. Full amenities & really more than a home. We really enjoyed staying here with splendid mountain & valley view. Pleasant environment & had a great day spending time together with God’s presence with his amazing work. Highly recommended. Great host!

What a fantastic place! Immaculately clean, everything more that you needed, a fantastic set up of space and rooms all to the highest standards and of course the spectacular views of coastland and mountains.
Hopefully one day we will return and if anyone ask me if I could recommend any accommodation in Dubrovnik area, it will have to be of course Villa Cruz every time! Mili and her team they were fantastic. Many thanks!

Absolutely fantastic luxury villa – the kitchen very well equipped for cooking with the lovely local ingredients and the you could sit on either the balconies or the terrasse and take in the amazing views of the sea and the hills, We spent most of our time in Bosnia and fell in love with the scenery, the people and the food. We explored the local area of Trebinje including the Tvrdos Monastery which included wine tasting but also a personal guided tour of the monastery by one of the employees, Trebinje local sites including the cathedral. For a full day trip it is worth visiting Mostar which has an interesting history and interesting shopping in the bazaar – make sure you haggle for any goods that you wish to purchase. A few days were spent sightseeing in Dubrovnik and the Games of Thrones guided tour was interesting. In respect of restaurants then we can highly recommend Studenac (beautiful restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating) and Hotel Platani (lovely outdoor eating on the square – modern European cuisine). On the main road to Trebinje there is a restaurant by the roadside which is excellent as well. All in all it was an excellent holiday and we will definitely be booking the villa again so more of Bosnia and surrounding countries can be explored. Also a big thank you to Millie and her team for looking after us so well.

A beautiful villa with lots of space and stunning views. Lots to see and do in the area – a beautiful country to visit.
25 August 2015, United Kingdom
A fantastic villa with all the required kit to make your perfect holiday.
Excellent well kitted out kitchen, large comfortable beds, pool with view, wet room bathrooms, plenty of sofas, some movies on DVD and local tourist books too.
Did I mention the view?
Lots of balconies to appreciate the view from, as well as the large terrace with sun loungers, dining table, etc. Efficient air con system for those really hot days.
Explore inland to Trebinje, Bosnia for the best food and down to the coast to Cavtat and Dubrovnik where people watching is the thing.
I’d go back at the drop of a hat!

This is our second visit to Villa Cruz , and we loved it just as much as the first. We are already planning our third visit. Lovely location, nice people to deal with and a beautiful area. Reluctant to write the review, as we would really prefer to keep it a secret……

We spent an amazing week here with family and friends! The villa is spacious and designed to a very high standard, and the views from the villa are just breathtaking. It’s perfectly situated on the border between Bosnia and Croatia, which allowed us access to both the stunning coastline and islands of Croatia, as well as the beautiful mountains in Bosnia. Highlights included travelling by ferry and golf cart(!) to the unspoilt island ‘Lopud’, and our 3 hour drive through never-ending mountains to a Dervish Monastery in Blagaj

Our one week stay at Villa Cruz was exceptional and the customer service was fantastic. Mille, the housekeeper was readily available to give advice on places to visit. The accommodation was 1st class with spectacular views! The area is quiet and peaceful. The villa was immaculate, spacious and luxurious. Fantastic swimming pool! The local restaurants were great value for money with really good food – and the odd complimentary aperitif! My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here and look forward to making another trip back!

We stayed at this fabulous villa overlooking the Dalmatian coast line and just a short drive from the amazing city of Dubrovnik. The villa itself has everything that you could want for your stay, it is a brilliantly appointed property. There are tons of beaches within 15 minutes drive and for the more adventurous a boat trip from Dubrovnik to the islands makes a great day out. We had young children in the group and they loved staying at the pool as well as day trips out. Eating out is really easy and Milli the lady that looks after the house will be happy to make recommendations. Will be back!!!

Fabulous villa with a gorgeous view. Our family enjoyed a fantastic stay at your home from home with so many beautiful places to visit just on the doorstep. Milli was fantastic giving us local advice and even providing childcare for an adult evening out! Thank you for sharing Villa Cruz with us.

We hired the villa for a holiday with extended family – 6 adults, 4 kids under 10 and a toddler. It was very spacious and luxurously appointed with all needs thought of – from small beds for the kids to the pool inflatables and a lovely ‘welcome pack’. The pool was great for teaching the kids to swim and the internal space was big enough for when some of us just wanted to relax quitely!
The housekeeper, Millie, was a great font of local knowledge and offered babsitting as well as booking of local restaurants and advice on the best beaches and places to visit – a great value added service.
Dubrovnik is a short drive away and a wonderful city, steeped in culture and history together with all the amenieties of a modern city with vibrant bars, restaurants and of course great shopping!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there and are planning on returning again. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely amazing time staying here. The pictures really don’t do the villa justice. The villa itself is incredible, very modern, kitchen has absolutely everything. Showers are amazing, bedrooms incredible. So much space it’s ridiculous. But the view!! Incredible!! Really need to get a full panoramic picture up on here, the view is breathtaking and really makes the villa stand out from the rest! We had a very nice stay overall. Milli is absolutely great and really sorted us out with everything we needed! We went into the town Trebinje in Bosnia which is very pretty, there are some great bars and restaurants here, and so cheap we couldn’t really believe it every time the bill came! Milli was always great at organising taxis there and back for us, which was very helpful. Definitely recommend learning a few Bosnian words as not much English is spoken around there! We went into Dubrovnik quite a few times too. Absolutely beautiful city and easy 30 minute taxi ride (which Milli organises for you). Very simple getting through the border, rarely took more than 5-10 minutes and everyone is very friendly. The boat trip is also worth doing, great to get the opportunity to see the islands, some beach time as well, and good food also! All in all we have an amazing holiday here, the villa (and view!) was incredible and Milli really made the trip with how helpful she was and happy to organize things for us. Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone! Only thing I may change if I went back would be to hire a car. There is a shop nearby for necessities, but would be nice I think to drive along the coast and explore a little ourselves!

Following a fantastic holiday at the Villa, my friend had it all summed up when he asked “Do you know what I would change if I could?”, and his answer was “Absolutely nothing!”. A large, bright and airey house with stunning views across the rolling countryside and out to sea. After a short flight from the UK we were met by the very friendly and efficient housekeeper, who during the 15 minutes of the journey enthusiastically pointed out numerous restaurants, small ports with outstanding facilities and the best of the many beaches. The villa is situated just over the broader with Bosnia, however the formalities at Boarder control a simple matter of showing passports. The villa is furnished to an extremely high standard and very well equipped, television iPod dock, washing machine, dishwasher, barbecue as the owners appear to have thought of everything, including no hassle Wi-Fi. The pool was always at the right temperature and there was never a shortage of hot water, amazingly all supplied via solar power, which confirms that the terrace is a sun trap, again the sun beds, cushions and patio was of a very high standard. Just fifteen minutes into Dubrovnik, or quicker to the now fully restored cable car down into the old town. A great way to arrive for your first visit as it provides an ideal opportunity to orientate yourself. No shortage of top restaurants situated overlooking the sea, together with quaint bars to catch the sunsets. All extremely good value! We undertook a couple of drives out, including Mostar and the historic bridge, also Montenegro which is stunning and needs another visit, (time to Google Montenegro)! Villa Cruz provides luxury accommodation and a great venue to relax with the extended family. Likewise those with a sense of adventure will enjoy the numerous exciting sights to be seen. My only concern is, will any other holiday rental match these standards in the future. I would be delighted if they did.

We loved it. We have stayed all over the world and this was the best places we have stayed in. Accommodation was outstanding. Milli and her team who looked after the villa were first class. Lots to do in the area. Must dos are Dubrovnik, go to Hotel More Cave Bar, just North of Dubrovnik town in Lapad, eat, swim in the sea and look at the stalactites in the bar. Mostar is an intriguing trip, a mix of 3 religions and interesting history. Also visit the waterfalls on the way, they are the 8th wonder of the world (this was the best thing in the entire visit), but research the location before you travel as it is only signposted when you are virtually there. There is also the source of a river nearby to Mostar which is worth a visit and is a good place to eat with a vast array of restaurants. Travel to Tivat, and visit Porto Montenegro, it’s a bit like Monte Carlo with the yachts but still being built. Also in Montenegro take the mountain road to Cetinje great views and a nice little place to finish the trip, it is the ancient capital of this country. Also a meal on the seafront in Budva is a nice experience. The little gem that is not too far away from the villa is Cavtat, it’s a small fishing village/with lots of seaside restaurants we visited several times. It is a must do whilst you are there. We never even visited any of the islands. We stayed 2 weeks, it was not enough , a great place to chill out , but equally plenty to see on the other days. You have to have a car and for the activity days set aside 12 to 14 hours to include your travel and sightseeing. We simply loved it. Our son is 11 and he was of the same opinion. Flights to Dubrovnik airport were great, we hired a car, then the villa was 20 minutes’ drive, stopping at Lidl on the way to stock up on food. (Don’t forget to tell your car hire company you are staying in Bosnia, and that you will travel to Montenegro as well, as you need green card insurance for non EU country, its only about £40 extra for 2 weeks). This is a stunning location, great people, plenty to do and only a short flight and transfer, Perfect!!!!

We are a family of four who stayed 4 nights in Villa Cruz. This Villa has 4 good bedrooms for visitors which meant we had plenty of space. It is very clean, modern and has all the facilities ..and more.. that you would want. Home from Home, in fact. Milli is the local ‘assistance’ to answer any questions. She is helpful, friendly and very fluent in English. Because Villa Cruz is situated up in the Bosnian Hills of Ivanica it has splendid views down over the Croatian landscape and the bays e.g. Cavtat. It is very peaceful although we did have 2 nights when the wind was strong and spectacular thunder storms occurred. The immediate locale leading up to the Villa from the border is a little run down. This could improve in time if more properties are developed to the standard of Villa Cruz. I would say that in general this is the case with Bosnia compared to Croatia i.e. the latter appears more affluent. Since the double border crossing is less than a mile away you do have to be mindful not to plan any trips to a tight schedule as all vehicles are stopped and long queues can build up ….. mainly at weekends. In conclusion, we enjoyed staying in this Villa and would recommend others to use it particularly large families or groups of friends perhaps.
