LOCAL RESTAURANTS IN CROATIA

‘Family favourites’.

RESTAURANT BONACA – MOKOŠICA

For a very reasonably priced and authentic evening meal and local too, head down to Restaurant Bonaca, a family favourite and just a 10-min drive.
The restaurant is situated on the road side, but also beside the sea inlet leading to Dubrovnik’s private yacht marina, so it is a pretty setting with a beautiful view of the boats settling down for the night.
We recommend the sharing platter Bonaca for your appetizer, a platter of mixed local meats, feta, octopus, anchovies and salad. And then follow with the fresh fish of the day and you can’t go too far wrong.
The menu is varied and also offer a menu suitable for vegeterians, vegan and gluten free dishes.

Tip: Booking recommended July/Aug if you want a table overlooking the sea, it is still worth going to even if the best tables have been taken. Ask our managers if you need to book. Phone No: +385 20 450 000

Pass through the Croatian border to the mini roundabout. Take the last exit towards Mokošica, wind down the hill and then filter left at the T-junction, by the garage. The restaurant is on the left, about 5 km along the coast road. You can park in a pull-in opposite the restaurant on the sea edge by the bus stop.

KONOBA POPRET – GORNJI BRGAT

Local to us, honest cuisine prepared from local ingredients.

A warm welcome by the owners and the meal served in a traditional style. There is a full menu or embers of the fireplace are used to cook lamb, beef or octopus, in a clay pot very slowly during the day to produce a very tasty meal. If you’re booking a table they may wish to order this dish in advance. Great view too!

Pass through the border and head down to the mini roundabout by the church. Go straight across and the restaurant is on your right.
