Open day and all year round makes it a favourite with locals, tourists and passers-by. Located high in the mountain on the road between Bosnia and Montenegro makes it a great stop for dinner if you are travelling back from a day in Kotor.
In the winter Restaurant Stara Hercegovina is warmed by the fire in hearth and with a lovely local atmosphere, all centred round a huge tree trunk In the middle of the room. Warming lamb stew, steak with a mushroom sauce, fish and lots of local dishes and salads too, at wonderfully cheap prices.
In the summer guests spill out onto a large, terrace with different levels and thatched roofed covered dining areas, to make the most of the slightly cooler air that the mountains can offer.
