Water polo match

Cavtat at night is special. As the sun sets over the sea and mountains, luxury yachts moor up for the night and the locals come out to thrash out a game of water polo!
There is usually something for each member of the family in Cavtat – unless you are looking for nightclubs!

In the evening there are a large number of restaurants to choose from and the bars range from sports bars to waterfront cocktail bars. They alternate with live music and there is often traditional festival music being sung on the church steps, or you might be treated to some local folk dancing.
If you like to walk, there is a 45 min promenade that is a circular walk and you often find pop up bars along that route. Nice to do day or night.

We never tire of going and love the buzz!

Top tip:
Parking – as you head into the village center turn right into the car park, you pay on exiting.
Restaurant – we recommend “Dalmatia Restaurant”, which is found on the car park side of the town, but it still has a good view and we have found the food and service good, especially the seared Tuna Steak and reasonable too.
Ice cream – best parlor is the one by the post office.
